Patio Pacific Boracay is one of the island's older establishments and has the history to show for it: it opened in 1990 as the Pink Patio, founded by Charles Uy, who brought his Binondo coffee-shop concept to what was then a six-villa property. It has since grown into a 64-room resort in Station 1 at Brgy. Balabag, set back in lush greenery less than 100 metres from White Beach — about a three-minute walk to the sand. A full renovation in 2018, designed by Plaza + Partners, gave it its current contemporary look, and it holds Triple-A accreditation from the Philippine Department of Tourism along with a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. The resort is laid out in two wings, and which one you are in genuinely matters. The West Wing — the Deluxe, Premier Deluxe and Suite rooms — sits on the beach side. The East Wing, holding the Superior and Family rooms, is across the road, and the resort posts staff to help guests cross. Rooms throughout are non-smoking and come with a flat-screen cable TV, complimentary WiFi, air conditioning, a minibar, an in-room safe, coffee and tea making facilities, a telephone with NDD and IDD, premium toiletries, a hairdryer and daily housekeeping, with a rain shower in the bathroom. Outside the rooms there is a five-foot-deep swimming pool with a separate kiddie pool and an outdoor jacuzzi, open from 6:00am to 10:00pm, with light bites and cocktails served poolside. A well-equipped fitness gym keeps the same hours. Garden Cafe serves Filipino cooking — adobo with rice, an updated pinakbet — from 6:00am to 10:00pm, with breakfast laid out daily between 6:00am and 10:00am; whether it is bundled into your rate depends on the package you book. Room service runs 6:00am to 10:00pm. There are conference and event facilities for meetings, on-call massage, laundry, and a concierge who handles airline bookings, island tours and water sports. Airport transfers are arranged through the resort's sister company, Island Star Express. Check-in is 2:00pm and check-out 11:00am.
