It depends on the trip. Station 1 has the widest, calmest stretch of White Beach and most of the island's 4–5 star resorts, so it suits honeymoons and travellers who want space. Station 2 is the social centre — closest to the restaurants, bars and D'Mall. Station 3 is quieter and better value. Bulabog, on the opposite shore, is the kitesurfing and windsurfing side. For the December–May dry season, and especially over Christmas, New Year and Holy Week, book several months ahead — the best-located properties sell out first and rates climb steeply. Outside those peaks you can usually book a few weeks out and still have plenty of choice.

Amihan season, roughly November to May, brings dry weather and calm water on the White Beach side — this is peak season. Habagat, roughly June to October, is wetter with rougher White Beach surf, but rates drop and the island is far less crowded. Kitesurfers often prefer Amihan for the reliable Bulabog wind.
