- Step 4: Return. After the ride, you are brought back to the beach and dropped off at your hotel or at a nearby drop point.

The Boracay banana boat holds a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 passengers per ride. If your group is smaller than 6, you still pay the base rate of ₱2,700 for the boat. This makes the banana boat one of the best value group activities on the island since the per person cost drops as your group gets larger. At 6 passengers, you pay ₱450 each. At 10 passengers, you pay the same ₱450 per person with a total of ₱4,500.
Yes. The Boracay banana boat ride is a safe water activity suitable for most ages. Life jackets are mandatory for every rider, and the speedboat is operated by an experienced captain who adjusts speed and turning intensity based on your group’s comfort level. If anyone falls off (which is part of the fun), the boat circles back to pick you up. The ride takes place in calm, shallow waters along Boracay’s coastline. It is not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with serious back or neck conditions.
The banana boat ride itself lasts 15 minutes of active riding on the water. Including hotel pickup, the life jacket fitting, and the return trip, expect the entire experience to take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours from pickup to drop off. The 15 minutes of ride time pass quickly because you are constantly bouncing, turning, and splashing through the waves at speed.
Wear swimwear or quick dry clothing because you will get very wet during the ride. Avoid wearing jewelry, watches, or accessories that could fall off in the water. Leave your phone and electronics at the hotel or bring a waterproof pouch. Apply sunscreen before the ride since you will be out on open water. Footwear is optional: you can ride barefoot or wear aqua shoes. Bring a towel for after the ride.
There is no strict minimum age, but the activity is best suited for children aged 5 and above who are comfortable in the water and can hold onto the handles. Younger children should be assessed by the operator and may ride seated between adults. All riders regardless of age must wear life jackets. Parents should consider that the ride involves high speeds, sharp turns, and the possibility of falling into the water, which young children may find frightening.
Both are inflatable water rides pulled by a speedboat, but they differ in shape and riding style. The banana boat (₱2,700 for up to 6 pax, 15 minutes) has riders sitting in a single line on a long, narrow inflatable and holding onto handles. The UFO ride uses a round, disc shaped inflatable where riders lie flat on their stomachs and grip the handles. The UFO tends to spin and bounce more unpredictably, while the banana boat tilts and tips in a more straightforward way. Both activities are fun for groups and families.
Yes. The banana boat ride is one of the most affordable and entertaining group water activities in Boracay. At ₱2,700 for up to 6 people (just ₱450 per person), it delivers 15 minutes of high energy fun on the water with guaranteed laughs and memories. It is especially worth it for families and friend groups since the per person cost is very low compared to solo activities like parasailing or jet skiing. The ride is short but packed with excitement, and most groups come back grinning from ear to ear.
