Dive Into Boracay: The Ultimate Scuba Diving Experience!

Discovery Dive (No Experience Needed)

No certification required. A PADI-certified instructor guides you through a short pool briefing, then leads you on a real reef dive at 5 to 12 meters depth. You’ll see coral gardens, tropical fish, and more. Approximately 20 to 30 minutes underwater.

Fun Dive (Certified Divers)

Prices depend on the type of dive. A discovery dive
in Boracay
for beginners is the most affordable option
and includes equipment, instructor, and boat transfer.
Fun dives for certified divers cost slightly
more, while multi-dive packages offer the best value per dive. A
PADI Open Water course in Boracay covers 3 to
4 days of training and is priced as a full certification
package. Check the booking widget above for current rates as
prices vary by season, with peak season (December to April)
filling up fastest.

Yes. Scuba diving in Boracay is
beginner-friendly
and no certification or prior
experience is needed for a discovery dive. Your PADI-certified
instructor covers breathing technique, hand signals, and
equipment use in a short pool session before taking you on a
real reef dive at 5 to 12 metres depth. If you want to go
further, scuba diving lessons in Boracay are
available through a full PADI Open Water course, which takes 3
to 4 days and gives you a lifetime certification recognised
worldwide.

Crocodile Island is the most popular dive
site, named for its shape, with colourful coral gardens and
abundant reef fish. Camia offers gentle
currents and is ideal for beginners. Coral
Garden
is a shallow reef perfect for discovery dives
and underwater photography. Friday’s Rock is a
wall dive for certified divers with sea fans, groupers, and
batfish. Yapak is the advanced option, a deep
blue-water dive where hammerhead sharks are regularly spotted.
All Boracay dive sites are reached by a 10 to
20 minute boat ride from White Beach.

The best scuba diving season in Boracay is
November to April during the Amihan (northeast monsoon). Seas
are calm, visibility reaches 15 to 25 metres, and water
temperature sits at a comfortable 26 to 29 degrees Celsius. May
to October is the Habagat season and diving is still possible at
sheltered sites like Coral Garden and Camia, but visibility can
drop and some sites are weather-dependent. Year-round diving is
available so just check conditions with your operator during
the wet season.

Yes. The PADI Open Water course in Boracay
is a popular way to get certified during your trip. The course
runs over 3 to 4 days and includes online or classroom theory,
confined water training, and four open-water certification dives
at Boracay reef sites. Upon completion you receive a
PADI Open Water Diver certification valid for
life at dive sites worldwide. You can complete your eLearning
before you arrive to save time on the island.

All Boracay scuba diving packages include
full equipment hire (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins, and
tank), a PADI-certified instructor or divemaster, boat transfer
to and from the dive site, and a safety briefing. Discovery dive
packages also include a pool training session. Fun dive
packages include a dive logbook entry. PADI course packages
include all training materials, open-water dives, and your
certification card. Hotel pickup from Stations 1 to 3 is
included so provide your hotel name when booking.

Scuba diving in Boracay is considered safe
when booked through a reputable PADI-certified operator. All
instructors hold current PADI qualifications and follow strict
safety protocols including pre-dive briefings, buddy systems,
and depth limits appropriate for each diver’s experience level.
The calm, warm waters and excellent visibility around Boracay
make it one of the safest dive destinations in the Philippines.
Discovery divers are accompanied by an instructor at all times
and never dive beyond 12 metres. Always disclose any medical
conditions before diving.

Boracay dive sites are home to sea turtles, parrotfish, lionfish, clownfish, nudibranchs, moray eels, and colourful reef fish. Crocodile Island and Coral Garden are particularly rich in reef species. At Yapak, Boracay’s advanced dive site, white-tip and grey reef sharks are frequently spotted alongside dogtooth tuna, napoleon wrasse, and giant trevally. The shallow coral gardens support thriving ecosystems, making every dive different regardless of your experience level.
