Boracay Private Island Hopping: Your Own Boat, Your Own Schedule

Boracay private island hopping gives you an exclusive boat, a dedicated crew, and a premium seafood lunch for a personalized tour of the island’s best beaches and snorkeling spots. Unlike the shared group tour, a private island hopping trip lets you control the pace, spend more time at the stops you love, and enjoy the experience with just your group. It is the ideal choice for couples, families, and friend groups who want a more intimate and flexible island hopping experience. The tour runs for 4 hours with hotel pickup starting from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Your private boat visits Puka Beach or Ililigan Beach, Crystal Cove island, and snorkeling areas where you can explore coral reefs and tropical marine life. A premium seafood lunch is included in the price, served fresh at one of the beach stops. The boat crew provides snorkeling masks and life vests, and you can request an optional stop at Magic Island for cliff jumping (entrance fee not included). With pricing starting at ₱6,900 for a solo traveller and dropping to just ₱2,400 per person for groups of 4 to 5, private island hopping offers excellent value for the level of exclusivity and service you receive. On a tighter budget? The Boracay Group Island Hopping tour starts at just ₱1,700 per person for a shared boat experience with a similar itinerary. You can also add a Boracay cliff jumping stop at Magic Island to your private tour.

How Boracay Private Island Hopping Works

  • Step 1: Hotel pickup. Your guide meets you at your hotel between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon (you choose your preferred pickup time when booking) and brings you to the boat departure point.
  • Step 2: Board your private boat. You board a traditional Filipino outrigger boat reserved exclusively for your group. The crew provides life vests and snorkeling gear. Your itinerary is discussed before departure.
  • Step 3: Snorkeling. The boat takes you to snorkeling spots with coral reefs and tropical fish. Your crew knows the best locations depending on conditions that day. Spend as much time as you like in the water.
  • Step 4: Beach and island stops. Visit Puka Beach or Ililigan Beach for swimming and relaxation. Explore Crystal Cove with its rock formations and cave pools. Optionally stop at Magic Island for cliff jumping (entrance fee separate).
  • Step 5: Seafood lunch. Enjoy a premium seafood lunch served fresh at one of the beach stops. The spread typically includes grilled fish, shrimp, crab, rice, and fresh fruit.
  • Step 6: Return. After approximately 4 hours, the boat returns to the departure point. You are free to extend the tour at an additional cost by arrangement with the crew.

The main differences are exclusivity, flexibility, and lunch quality. Private island hopping (starting at ₱6,900) gives you your own boat and crew for 4 hours. You choose your pickup time between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon, control the pace at each stop, and receive a premium seafood lunch. Group island hopping (₱1,700 to ₱1,900 per person) uses a shared boat with other travellers, departs at a fixed 9:00 AM time, runs for 5 hours, and includes a standard lunch (or seafood with the Premium upgrade). Choose private for a personalized experience, or group for the lowest price.

The private island hopping tour includes hotel pickup from Stations 1, 2, or 3, a private outrigger boat with a dedicated crew, snorkeling masks and life vests, and a premium seafood lunch with grilled fish, shrimp, crab, rice, and fresh fruit. You visit Puka Beach or Ililigan Beach, Crystal Cove, and snorkeling areas. An optional stop at Magic Island for cliff jumping is available. Not included: Crystal Cove entrance fee (₱200), Magic Island entrance fee (₱200), and beverages beyond water.

The private island hopping tour in Boracay lasts approximately 4 hours from boat departure to return. Including hotel pickup time, the total experience is about 4.5 to 5 hours. The 4 hours are divided between snorkeling, beach stops at Puka Beach or Ililigan Beach, exploring Crystal Cove, and enjoying your seafood lunch. Since it is a private tour, you have flexibility in how long you spend at each stop. Extensions beyond 4 hours can be arranged with the crew at an additional cost.

The standard private island hopping route includes Puka Beach or Ililigan Beach (known for its natural crushed shell shoreline and clear water), Crystal Cove (a small island with rock formations, cave pools, and viewpoints), and snorkeling areas with coral reefs and tropical fish. You can also request an optional stop at Magic Island for cliff jumping from platforms at various heights (entrance fee of approximately ₱200 is not included). The crew can adjust the route based on weather conditions and your preferences.

Yes, especially for groups of 3 or more where the per person cost drops to ₱2,500 or less. At that rate, you get your own private boat, a dedicated crew, flexible timing, and a premium seafood lunch, which is a significant upgrade from the group tour. Couples also find it worthwhile at ₱3,600 per person for the exclusivity and romantic setting. Solo travellers paying ₱6,900 get the same private experience but at a premium. The ability to set your own pace, linger at your favorite spots, and enjoy a seafood feast without sharing with strangers makes this one of the best experiences in Boracay.

Book online at least one day in advance to secure your private boat and preferred pickup time. Select your group size and choose a pickup time between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon. Full payment is required at the time of reservation. After booking, you receive an instant confirmation email and voucher. On the day of your tour, your guide meets you at your hotel lobby and brings you to the boat. For groups larger than 10, special dietary requests, or custom itinerary changes, email [email protected].

The best months are November through April during the Amihan (dry) season when seas are calm and visibility is excellent for snorkeling. Within the day, the morning pickup (9:00 AM to 10:00 AM) is recommended because the water is calmest, the light is ideal for underwater photography, and you finish the tour by early afternoon with the rest of the day free. Booking early in the morning also means fewer boats at popular stops like Crystal Cove and Puka Beach.
