Boracay Paraw Sailing: Traditional Filipino Sailing on White Beach
Boracay paraw sailing is one of the most iconic experiences on the island. A paraw is a traditional Filipino double outrigger sailboat, handcrafted from wood and powered entirely by the wind. These distinctive boats have been sailing the waters around Boracay for generations, and today they offer visitors a unique way to experience the island’s coastline from the water. You sit on a net stretched between the two outriggers as the crew navigates along White Beach, with nothing but the sound of the wind and waves around you. The experience is available as a 30 minute sunset ride timed to catch the famous Boracay golden hour, or as a 1 hour daytime sail along the coast. Each booking is a private charter with your own crew, so your group has the entire paraw to yourselves. It is one of the most relaxing and photogenic activities on the island, perfect for couples, families, and groups of friends looking for something authentically Filipino. For a longer ocean experience with more amenities, check out the Boracay Sunset Cruise on a larger motorized vessel with drinks and snacks included. If you want a full day on the water with a private boat, the Boracay Private Yacht offers island hopping and premium service.Boracay Paraw Sailing Price 2026

How Boracay Paraw Sailing Works
- Step 1: Hotel pickup. Your coordinator picks you up from your hotel between 9 AM and 3:30 PM (sunset rides are timed to golden hour, typically 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM departure).
- Step 2: Board the paraw. At the beach, you meet your crew and board the paraw sailboat. Life jackets are provided and must be worn throughout the ride. You sit on the net stretched between the two wooden outriggers.
- Step 3: Sail along White Beach. The crew raises the sail and navigates along the Boracay coastline using only wind power. Enjoy panoramic views of White Beach, the resorts along the shore, and the open sea. The sunset ride offers spectacular golden hour views over the water.
- Step 4: Return to shore. After your sail, the paraw returns to the beach and you are escorted back to your hotel or dropped at D’Mall.
What to Bring
- Swimsuit or light clothing you are comfortable getting slightly wet
