Boracay Parasailing: Soar Above the Island with Stunning Aerial Views
Boracay parasailing is one of the island’s most thrilling water activities, lifting you high above the turquoise waters for breathtaking aerial views of White Beach, the surrounding islands, and Boracay’s coastline. Attached to a colorful parachute and towed by a speedboat, you soar 100 to 150 meters above the sea for 10 to 15 minutes of pure adrenaline and panoramic sightseeing. No experience is needed, and the entire process is managed by a trained crew from takeoff to landing. The activity starts with hotel pickup from your accommodation in Stations 1, 2, or 3. A speedboat takes you to the parasailing platform at Manggayad, where you are fitted with a harness and life vest, given a safety briefing, and launched directly from the platform. You can fly solo or bring a friend for a tandem ride. Groups of up to 4 people can even fly together. The experience is smooth and surprisingly peaceful once airborne, giving you time to take in the views and snap unforgettable photos from above. Looking for more water thrills? How Boracay Parasailing Works
- Step 1: Hotel pickup. Your guide picks you up from your hotel in Stations 1, 2, or 3 and brings you to the boat departure area.
- Step 2: Speedboat ride to platform. A speedboat takes you to the parasailing platform located off the coast at Manggayad. The ride takes approximately 10 minutes.
- Step 3: Safety briefing and gear up. The crew fits you with a harness and life vest, explains the hand signals, and walks you through the takeoff and landing process. The briefing takes about 5 minutes.
- Step 4: Takeoff. You are launched directly from the platform. The parachute inflates and you are gently lifted into the air as the speedboat pulls you forward. The ascent is smooth and controlled.
- Step 5: Flight. Soar 100 to 150 meters above the sea for 10 to 15 minutes. Enjoy panoramic views of White Beach, the surrounding islands, and the Boracay coastline. The experience is surprisingly calm once airborne.
- Step 6: Landing and return. The crew gently reels you back to the platform for a controlled landing. The speedboat returns you to shore. Drop off at hotel is not included.

Yes. Parasailing in Boracay is operated by experienced crews with proper safety equipment including harnesses and life vests. Every guest receives a safety briefing before takeoff, and the crew controls the entire process from launch to landing. The takeoff and landing happen on a dedicated platform, not from the water, which adds stability. The operator monitors wind conditions throughout the day and will postpone or cancel flights if conditions are unsafe. Thousands of tourists parasail in Boracay every year without incident.
During Boracay parasailing, you are lifted to approximately 100 to 150 meters above sea level. At this height, you have a panoramic view of White Beach, the surrounding islands, Boracay’s coastline, and the turquoise waters below. The height may vary slightly depending on wind conditions on the day of your flight. Despite the height, the experience feels smooth and stable once you are airborne.
You can absolutely parasail solo in Boracay. The solo flight costs ₱2,500 and you fly by yourself attached to the parachute. If you prefer company, the tandem option (₱4,400 for 2 people) lets you fly side by side with a partner. Groups of 3 (₱6,900) and 4 (₱8,800) can also fly together. Solo flights are popular with individual travellers who want the full experience on their own, while tandem is ideal for couples or friends.
There is no strict universal age cutoff, but most operators require participants to be at least 7 to 10 years old and children must fly tandem with an adult. Weight limits depend on wind conditions on the day of the activity. The operator assesses each guest’s suitability during the safety briefing and may restrict the flight for safety reasons. Persons with heart conditions, pregnant women, and those with severe fear of heights are advised not to participate.
The actual flight time is 10 to 15 minutes per session. However, the total experience takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours when you include hotel pickup, the speedboat ride to the parasailing platform at Manggayad (about 10 minutes), the safety briefing, waiting time for your turn (if others are flying before you), the flight itself, and the speedboat ride back to shore.
Wear comfortable clothing or swimwear that you do not mind getting slightly wet from sea spray during the speedboat ride. Avoid loose items like scarves, hats without straps, or dangling jewelry that could blow off during the flight. Secure your sunglasses with a strap. Sandals or water shoes are fine. Apply sunscreen before the activity since you will be exposed to direct sun at altitude. Leave valuables like watches and expensive jewelry at your hotel.
Yes. Boracay parasailing is one of the most unique ways to see the island. The aerial views of White Beach, the crystal blue water, and the surrounding islands from 100 to 150 meters up are unlike anything you get from ground level. At ₱2,500 for a solo flight (or ₱2,200 per person tandem), the price is competitive compared to similar parasailing experiences in other destinations. The flight is smooth, the crew is professional, and the memory of floating above Boracay is something most visitors rank as a trip highlight.
