Boracay Sunset Cruise: Sail, Snorkel, and Watch the Golden Hour
The Boracay sunset cruise is one of the most memorable experiences on the island, combining snorkeling, water activities, live music, and a front row seat to one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Philippines. You board a local outrigger boat in the afternoon and spend hours on the water with kayaks, paddleboards, a water hammock, and snorkeling gear before the sky lights up in shades of orange, pink, and gold as the sun dips below the horizon. This cruise is available as a joiner option for solo travellers and couples, or as a private charter for groups of up to 30 people. The joiner cruise costs just ₱850 per person, making it one of the best value activities on the island. Private boats start at ₱9,500 for up to 4 guests and include all the same activities plus a more intimate setting. Every cruise includes snorkeling with provided gear, mermaid tail and floaters for creative photos, a kayak and paddleboard for exploring the water, a relaxing back massage on board, and live acoustic music as the sun sets. The Boracay sunset cruise includes a full package of water activities and entertainment. You get snorkeling with mask and life vest, a kayak and paddleboard to use freely, a water hammock for lounging, a mermaid tail and floaters for creative photos, a relaxing back massage on the boat, and live acoustic music as the sun sets. All of this is included in both the joiner (₱850 per person) and private boat options. Food and drinks are not included.
The joiner sunset cruise (₱850 per person) places you on a shared boat with other guests. It is the most affordable option and ideal for solo travellers, couples, or small groups on a budget. The private sunset cruise (starting at ₱9,500 for 1 to 4 pax) gives you an exclusive boat for your group only. Both options include the same activities: snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, water hammock, mermaid tail, live music, and back massage. The private option is better for celebrations, proposals, or groups who want their own space on the water.
Yes. The Boracay sunset cruise is consistently rated as one of the top experiences on the island. At ₱850 per person for the joiner option, you get hours on the water with snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, a massage, live music, and a front row sunset view. That level of variety and entertainment for under ₱1,000 is exceptional value. The sunset over the Sibuyan Sea from the water is genuinely stunning, and the combination of water activities and live music makes this more than just a boat ride. It is especially popular with couples and groups of friends.
Wear swimwear with a light cover up since you will likely be in and out of the water for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Bring a towel for drying off after water activities. The late afternoon sun is still strong, so apply reef safe sunscreen before boarding. For sunset photos, many guests change into a fresh outfit or sarong after swimming. Bring a waterproof bag or dry bag to protect your phone, camera, and valuables from splashes on the boat.
The best months for the Boracay sunset cruise are November through April during the Amihan (dry) season. During these months, skies are generally clear, seas are calm, and the sunsets are spectacular with vivid colours over the Sibuyan Sea. December to February tends to produce the most dramatic sunsets. The cruise runs year round, but from June to September (Habagat season), there is a higher chance of overcast skies, rain, or cancellation due to rough seas.
